Women in Motion
Women in Motion is a revolutionary nutrition and fitness program that I developed at Colorado State University for sedentary women in mid-life. The idea for the program sprang from my interest in women’s health and the realization that dieting doesn’t work in the long run and that there were better ways to improve health than weight loss.
This unique program aimed to increase cardiorespiratory fitness levels (CRF), time spent in physical activity, and self-efficacy for physical activity. After 24 weeks, we had significant improvements in all three of those outcomes! We published some of the results here and presented them at numerous professional conferences. I was even quoted in O magazine about the study!
